Streatham Redhawks are targeting more silverware after a strong start to their National Ice Hockey League Division 1 South campaign.
In an interview published by South West Londoner on 27 October, player-coach Ben Paynter spoke about the club’s ambitions and summer recruitment. The team recently beat Romford Buccaneers 4–1 at Streatham and then won 6–3 away to Romford following an overtime defeat to Chelmsford Chieftains.
The Redhawks finished second in their division last season and won the Britton Playoffs. Paynter said the club had retained an established core of players while strengthening the squad, with supporters providing an important part of its identity.
